I AM ALBERTAN!
Proud Albertans for Alberta
Proud Albertans for Alberta
It’s with great sadness that we announce that our founder and leader of I AM ALBERTAN, John Martineau, passed away on Nov 9.
He leaves his wife, Cate Graham, and children Jason, Sarah, Adrian, Isis, Ayla & Liam and many grandchildren… and many family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sat, Nov 16th at 2pm at Chapel of the Bells, McInnis & Holloway at 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in support of John’s passion project of I AM ALBERTAN.
If you'd like to donate to our endeavour, please do so here. No donation is too small! You can send us an email transfer to we.are.albertan@gmail.com
Our mission statement is simple:
Bring Albertans together to celebrate & preserve what it is to be Albertan.
We have such a rich and diverse culture created by our vast, rugged and beautiful landscape, and by the people that have chosen to embrace it. Alberta's big open sky has inspired our people to think big; to believe that we CAN achieve anything we set our minds to.
Albertans support each other.
Albertans solve problems.
Albertans don't hide from hard work.
Albertans find a way to get the job done.
Albertans come together when the chips are down no matter what.
Through fire or flood we can count on each other to roll up our sleeves and lend a helping hand.
Our wild and harsh landscape has taught us to be resilient and kind.
I am Albertan is a platform to honour and celebrate what it is to be Albertan, to explore issues through the lens of "is this good for Albertans?", and to promote & preserve Alberta as the best place in the world to be!
Join us.
Come together with the I Am Albertan team for an evening of camaraderie as we pay tribute to the memory of those who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives for our rights and freedoms. We will raise a glass in honor of these soldiers and commit to holding the line.
